Elena Samia is a native Londoner, beginning her screenwriting career over half a decade ago. She has written a number of short and feature scripts as part of her portfolio; with a primary focus on animation, the fantasy genre and fully developed (female) characters with universal cultural appeal. The value of her work stems from her stories which are unique and relatable - creating both male and female characters from under represented backgrounds and cultures that challenge stereotypes. Her characters are faced with the depths and complexities of their humanity, including how they relate to themselves, others and the world around them. 

Elena has previous experience working as a professional actress in various countries and continents. She also holds a Graduate Diploma in Law (GDL) with honours and has professional legal experience having worked as a Paralegal in London.

Elena is fluent in Spanish, Levantine Arabic, Portuguese and French, in addition to her native English.

Currently, Elena is researching and writing her third feature script. 

She is based between Los Angeles, London & Beirut.
